6. Tokyo Jihen ( 京‹‰)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC8la4l4RhQ Tokyo Jihen, also known in English as Tokyo Incidents, started out as Shiina Ringo€™s backing band. They first performed with her during the last concert of her first solo career in 2003. Then, in 2004 she formed the band and they were active until 2012. Their 2006 album €œAdult€ went to number one on the Oricon charts, Japan€™s version of the UK Music Charts, the first time for any Japanese band. All previous number one albums were by soloists. In addition to Shiina Ringo, lead vocalist and guitar, the band consists of: Kameda Seiji on bass; Hata Toshiki on drums; Izawa Ichiyo on piano and Nagaoaka Ryusuke, known as Uchigumo (Drifting Cloud), also on guitar. The song attached to this article is called €œKiller Tune€ and the music video won Best Technical Works Video in the 2008 Space Shower Music Video Awards, a Japanese music competition.
