10 Legendary Gigs You Wish You Could Have Attended

the doors 68 Anyone who is a serious music fan, has a list of the of some legendary live performances they wish they could have witnessed. If you are reading this, then I'm pretty certain you will too. Maybe you were too young, or perhaps, you weren't even born yet. Now, when this subject comes up, there are some that, deservedly so, are mentioned more often than not, such as - Hendrix, Woodstock in '69. The Who, Leeds in '70. Led Zeppelin, at Pontiac Silverdome, '77. Nirvana, at the Reading Festival, '92...You get the idea, and there are many, many more in addition to those already mentioned. What happened that made these legendary live performances so revered? It's usually when the stars align perfectly, the artist/band are in devastating form, the venue is a perfect setting, the audience all know they are witnessing something special and it unifies them, among other factors. Often, it has been the case where the band are on the cusp of going from cult status to bonafide stars. A life changing night for both performers and crowd members, an almost religious experience where nothing is quite the same afterwards. Live and work in Aberdeen, Scotland...unfortunately. Sang in My Minds Weapon (Basick/Drakkar/Sony) for ten years (2002 - 2012) and now just tinkering with various other projects. Die hard Leeds United fan. Metalhead in my heart but also love many other genres of music. Also enjoy anything with Christopher Walken or David Caruso. Family live in Perth, Australia, so have been there many times. Best place in the world.
