10 Legendary Rock And Metal Bands You Must See Before You Die
4. Iron Maiden
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3my21cBtok There's just something about England and Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden are next on the list as a fantastic live act you just shouldn't miss, and they are absolutely legendary live. The group behind Run to the Hills and The Number of the Beast are almost better on stage than they are on their albums, especially given that they combine top-notch musicianship with a theatrical live show involving multiple backdrops, most of which are built around their mascot Eddie. While some bands go over the top with long-winded solos that are basically just noodling away on guitar, with Maiden, it's all part of the show. Their entire sound simply translates tremendously to a live setting, and they're stadium metal at its finest. Not to mention that Bruce Dickinson is the epitome of a front man: active on stage and always sprinting to and fro - yet managing to not overshadow his fellow bandmates. Check out the clip above, as well as nab yourself a copy of Maiden's Rock in Rio 2001 live album. You'll get the idea.
