10 Less Appreciated Green Day Songs

8. J.A.R. (Jason Andrew Relva)

Included on "International Superhits," as a bonus track, JAR was a scrapped song from the original Dookie sessions. The acronym, Jason Andrew Relva refers to a childhood friend of Mike Dirnt who died after a car accident in 1992. The song lyrics are a narration on what happened and how it makes them feel, with a particular reflection on how they are living their own lives ("Gotta make a plan, gotta do what's right, can't run around in circles if you wanna build a life.") Although it would not appear on a Green Day album until 2001, the song appeared on the "Angus" soundtrack in 1995 and reached Number 1 on the Billboard modern rock charts.
