10 Live Covers Of Hard Rock Songs You Need To Hear

8. War Pigs - The Big Push

The Big Push really could be the next big thing. These Brighton-based lads have garnered a huge following over the last few years, blowing up on YouTube with their captivating street performances; ranging from a mixture of original numbers, to inspired mash-ups of well-known rock, soul and reggae tracks.

With each new video the band posts, the crowd around them only gets bigger; testimony to their allure. Their recent cover of the 1970 Black Sabbath track War Pigs demonstrates the talent of these four guys, throwing in a few Rage Against the Machine lyrics at one point and then smoothly transitioning into a verse or two of Paranoid, before finding their way back to War Pigs via that unmistakably recognisable Crazy Train riff. Yeah, sounds like a lot, but just watch, these guys can play.

Their first UK tour was postponed when the pandemic hit, but that hasn't stopped them, and although they're still running into a few hiccups with several recent live shows being cancelled, there's no sign of them letting up anytime soon.

These guys are proof that even COVID couldn't stop rock 'n' roll.
