10 Masterpiece Albums From Supposedly "Terrible" Bands
8. Alive! - Kiss
The Album
Known for big hair and even bigger excess, Kiss were never going to saddle up alongside Zeppelin in the rocking hall of fame. This was a band that has been defined by putting on a good show and not being too fussed on what the music sounds like. This shows in pretty much all of their noisy studio albums. But it's easy to forget that in 1975 their fourth and first live album slashed through radios and pretty much defined what a live album should sound like.
Debut album bangers 'Deuce' and 'Stutter' shatter the lobes straight away and the album doesn't let up, with other highlights like 'Parasite' and 'Black Diamond' keeping the album's momentum flinging forward at a heady pace. Kiss would quickly go back to being bloated caricatures after this album, but if you want a lightening in a bottle moment, check out this classic LP.Best

Was it ever going to be anything other than Rock And Roll All Nite?
