10 More Huge Songs That Bands Refused To Play Live

5. D’You Know What I Mean? - Oasis

Be Here Now, the third studio release from Oasis, is an interesting one to look back on.

The group’s issues with substances were totally out of control at this point and they only wanted to make the record to make money. As a result, Noel Gallagher absolutely hates Be Here Now, although Liam has called it his favourite.

That was probably just to annoy his brother, though.

As a result, Noel outright refused to play several of the songs from this album, including its lead single, D’You What I Mean? It was essentially put out to pasture in 2002, seven years before the band split up, even though it was a number one single following its release.

Since Noel was in control of what got played at Oasis shows, other songs that suffered from his hatred of Be Here Now included Stand by Me and All Around the World, another chart-topper that was only ever played live 40 times, all in the year 1997.

Sorry fans of these songs, but if the Gallaghers don’t like something, then apparently it has to go.
