6. The Avalanches

For the uninitiated, The Avalanches have been quietly inventing and reinventing dance music since the year 2000, creating a niche and genre all their own. There was a 16 year gap between their first and second album, but thankfully we aren’t being made to wait as long for their next one.

We don’t really know anything about this album just yet as it’s just been announced, but we got some new music from The Avalanches in 2019 in the form of a Chemical Brothers collaboration, so good things are on the horizon.

The only indication of what to come is a cryptic poster stating’ After we die, what then?’ followed what is presumably the albums title ‘We will always love you’. It's clear that this album will be as thought-provoking and spacey than the last two, and since they haven’t put a foot wrong yet, this album could very well be a standout of the year.
