10 Most Embarrassing Onstage Moments In Rock
7. Dave Grohl Breaks His Leg
A lot of rock stars might not like to admit how dangerous it can be onstage from time to time. I mean, unless you're a big stadium act and known for a hectic live show like Slipknot or KISS, what's there to be afraid of when you have the best security right in front of you? Well, sometimes your own worst enemy onstage is yourself when you get a little too overzealous.
In what has to be one of the more famous tumbles of the past few years, Dave Grohl was leading the party with Foo Fighters when he completely fell off the platform at the start of Monkey Wrench. Considering this was near the beginning of the show, Grohl took to the mic to tell the audience that he broke his leg and would go see a doctor before returning to finish the set.
As the rest of the group scrambled to throw something together with Taylor Hawkins on vocals, another phenomenal moment happened when Grohl returned to the stage just a few moments later, complete with a boot and a doctor holding his foot in place as he continued to play the rest of the night. Seeing how playing rock and roll can feel like an endurance test at the best of times, you might want to make sure that things are at least stable before you start going off the rails.
