4. Courtney Love Vs. Everyone
No stranger to musically-charged beef, Hole singer Courtney Love has a long and detailed rap sheet when it comes to squabbling with her fellow artists.
Courtney has never hidden her feelings about Bikini Kill singer Kathleen Hanna, who she accused of stalking her late husband Kurt Cobain. This led to a confrontation at Lollapalooza in 1995, when she supposedly punched Hanna in the face (Hole guitarist Eric Eriandson maintains that she just threw some candy at the singer, but that seems beside the point).
Love and Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl have also argued extensively over the right’s to Nirvana’s music, but have since made amends. Pavement drummer Bob Nastanovich recalls an argument he had with Love backstage (again at Lollapalooza), wherein she allegedly threw a tantrum, before hurling a jar of salsa at a nearby wall. It seems that Courtney Love has a fixation on thrown objects, as she also launched a compact at Madonna during the 1995 VMAs.
