10 Most Iconic Moments At Live Rock Shows

8. When Bruce Springsteen Was On Fire

Bruce Springsteen is known for being one of the hardest working rockers out there... When it comes to live performances, no one puts in as much work as 'The Boss'. And, no other clip of the New Jersey singer demonstrates this more, than that of his live performance of The River at Glastonbury Festival back in 2009.

British crowds have been praised by musicians for being some of the best to perform to, it might just be our propensity to get as many pints into our systems as is humanly possible, but whatever the reason we love a good bit of performer/audience interaction.

The Brits were on top form during Springsteens set back in 2009. After singing a few lines of the coming-of-age ballad, 'The Boss' turned the mic on the crowd, who proceeded to sing the rest of the verse back to him. It was then that we got that iconic shot, of Springsteen bathed in stage light, with smoke seemingly, billowing from his body.

A true testimony to his dedication to the crowd, he was sweating to such a degree that the moisture was evaporating from his hard rocking body.

The only thing that could have made this moment more iconic was if Springsteen had been singing his 1984 track I'm On Fire. For that show, he certainly was.
