10 Most Underrated Albums From Legendary Hard Rock Bands

9. In Your Honor - Foo Fighters

Ever since 2011's Wasting Light, Dave Grohl has always been trying to push the Foo Fighters further just a little bit more. Aside from working with big name producers like Greg Kurstin in recent years, albums like Sonic Highways and Concrete and Gold had some solid premises, only to fall a bit flat towards the end of their runtime. As much as Grohl may try and reinvent the wheel, chances are he won't be able to make anything nearly as ambitious as In Your Honor.

Looking to spice up the Foos sound after the stressed sessions for One by One, In Your Honor is the band's first double album centered around two distinct sides. Though the first disc is among some of the most extravagant music they've ever made, the mellow acoustic side of the second disc is fairly quaint, centered around beautiful acoustic passages like On the Mend and Still, which suit Grohl's gruff voice perfectly.

That's not to discount the first side though, with tracks like Best of You and No Way Back being the biggest arena-ready anthems that Grohl had ever attempted. This proved to work so well that Grohl eventually managed to combine the two just one record later on Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. While the tonal shift might seem a bit scattered in places, this is the one Foos record that grows on you more and more each time you hear it.
