10 Most Underrated Radiohead Songs

1. Black Star - The Bends

As a music fan, it's so strange to see Radiohead grow so much over the years. Compared to how they started, no one could have guessed that the Creep guys would be the ones who would lead rock and roll into the next generation and continue to innovate with every single release. Then again, when you have something like the Bends under your belt, you've already hit the ceiling when it comes to great rock and roll.

Fitting somewhere between late Britpop and alternative rock, a lot of the tracks on the Bends feel like Radiohead were trying their hand at stadium rock, oftentimes with glorious results like Street Spirit and Fake Plastic Trees. Even though songs like Just and My Iron Lung showed what they were going to become, Black Star acts as a worthy sendoff to the more glorious era of the band.

Outside of the normal art rock sounding bands like Talking Heads, there's a nod to the more larger than life bands of the time, with Thom sounding like Morrissey if he had Bono's stage presence. The chorus is also unstoppable, with Ed O'Brien having fantastic harmonies to anchor everything together at the end of the day. Radiohead's evolution was amazing for rock in general, but who knows? If things had gone a different way, we may have seen Thom Yorke becoming the next charismatic rock frontman.
