10 Most Underrated Rock Guitarists Of All Time

8. Ed O'Brien - Radiohead

Across every single album, Radiohead have truly gone through their fair share of weird moments. Aside from making some of the most anticommercial albums in rock history, the sheer awe that comes from records like Kid A and In Rainbows are still accessible to any type of rock fan. No matter how much lip service might get paid to Jonny Greenwood though, it's Ed O'Brien who has helped keep the group together all these years.

As opposed to the more electronic side of their sound, O'Brien was always the rock side of Radiohead, being responsible for some of the more classic rock stylings coming from records like the Bends and OK Computer. In fact, Ed was the one who was initially hesitant of going too far into the experimental direction on Kid A, instead wanting to have a bit of a return to roots record. That only proved to be the beginning of his guitar prowess though.

Ever since the '00s, Ed's touch on both electric and acoustic have been a gamechanger in the world of rock guitar, as he uses different pedals and effects to make sounds that no one would have envisioned a guitar actually making. For as idiotic as it might seem to try to anticipate Radiohead's every move, you pretty much have a safe bet when you have Ed in your corner.
