10 Most Underrated Rock Guitarists Of All Time

4. Brad Delson - Linkin Park

Once rock reached the '00s, it wasn't all that important to be a virtuoso anymore. While you did have some standouts like John Mayer wowing the guitar crowd with his abilities, the sounds of something like Korn or Green Day didn't have to rely on how many notes you could play per second or anything. That seems the case in Linkin Park too...until you actually hear what's going on.

Across their early albums like Hybrid Theory and Meteora, Brad Delson's role in the band wasn't much to write home about, given his tendency to use long drawn out chords. However, his delicate touch with something like harmonics made every other track stand out. For as much of a classic something like In the End is now, the fact that there is only a few chimes of guitar in the verses shows you how much Brad can do with just a little bit of sound.

That wasn't kept under wraps for long though, with the Hunting Party bringing Delson's playing to the forefront, almost going full on metal in places like Guilty All the Same. Whether being at the forefront or just in the back, Brad Delson's way of playing with the melody of Linkin Park's songs are still a sight to behold after all these years.
