https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_ncDFoyVHk Critically panned upon release (mainly due to the lyrical content with its reference to the drug rohypnol) Baby's Got A Temper is a rare track in The Prodigy's portfolio in that it willingly encompasses their previous material with the more bombastic direction the group would soon lean towards, creating a heady concoction of past, present and future that thirteen years on still sounds as fresh now as it did when it was first released. This is mainly due to Howlett's ever fresh production techniques and his musically inquisitive mind. It phases, it morphs and it contorts at will, sounding like a twisted carnival ride with its catchy synth melody and explosive big beat drops. The song contains some of the most warped and menacing music that the band has produced since the turn of the century. One can't help but think that the band were looking for some controversy with the lyrics and the video that was released for it (disturbing to say the least) which is a shame really because this fine track could easily stand on its own as one of the groups most brilliantly sinister creations.
