It was one of those incidents during which everyone added the word gate to the end of its description...that's how you know it was serious. Ariana Grande's Donut-Gate swept the nation in mid-2015 when she was caught on security footage licking a donut in Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, all while her order was being prepared. Not only that, but the American singer was also heard saying I hate Americans. I hate America. It may be a slight incident, but it's utterly bizarre, and sent fans and the media into an uproar, until Grande was forced to apologise for vocalising her hatred of her own country and its people. Hilariously, Grande later tried to claim what she was actually doing was criticizing child obesity in the US. Definitely a sensitive critique.
