5. Robbie Williams €“ Sing When You're Winning

Though the vast majority of bonus tracks are relatively unremarkable nowadays, it's always great when an artist subverts expectations, or plays with the expectations of fans.

Back in the late 90s, Robbie Williams was known for his regular use of hidden tracks on his albums. Williams' first three albums Life Thru A Lens, I've Been Expecting You and The Ego Has Landed all contained at least one hidden track. He chose to subvert this trend, then, in his fourth studio release titled Sing When You're Winning. After twenty-eight minutes of cavernous silence, the English singer pipes up, saying: €œNo, I'm not doing one on this album.€ Simple but brilliant.
