1. Cut Me Some Slack Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear And Paul McCartney
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=624HfkMty_8 Everyone loves a band reunion: hearing the brilliant old songs again and getting to hear a couple of new tracks that you thought you never would. But fans knew that with Nirvana, it simply wasnt going to happen. Until it did. Well sort of. Obviously lead singer and guitarist, Cobain wasnt there. And they didnt sing any actual Nirvana songs. But for fans it still counts. Three past members of Nirvana; Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic teamed up with Sir Paul McCartney to perform a one-off song: Cut Me Some Slack. Even if youre not a Nirvana fan, the song is still amazing. It sounds nothing like Nirvana did back in the 90s, the only connection is the band members. The song was written for Grohls documentary about the music of the Sound City studios and will be featured on the accompanying album Sound City Reel to Reel. Not only does the song pay tribute to the studios and to the band, but it also pays. It was first performed at a New York fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy and, with the famous line-up which has been long awaited by fans, the fundraiser was sure to get a lot more money because of this. Are there other Grohl songs that we should be listening to? Give your opinion in the comment section below.
