10 Perfect Country Music Albums With No Bad Songs

8. The Foundation - Zac Brown Band

Ever since bro country formally took over the airwaves, there's no chance that we were going to get a true blue country record any time soon. I mean, where would you find time to actually sprinkle the sounds of something like Conway Twitty in between the Luke Bryans of the world taking the country world by storm? Well, when you have just the right amount of song power, miracles can still happen.

Unlike most of the pinup country stars that come and go, the Zac Brown Band really have done their homework at being world class musicians in their field. Across every song on the Foundation, you get subtle hints of the classics, as the band interpret different songs through the filters of traditional folk, country, and even bits and pieces of bluegrass mixed in for good measure.

This is the Zac Brown Band after all though, and Mr. Brown himself definitely holds his own, being one of the greatest belters in the business. Despite hiding behind his guitar at points, his solo vocals on songs like Highway 20 Ride are enough to move anyone to tears if they've lived through that long distance relationship. This isn't just an album to cry your eyes out to. Compared to the more serious material of their predecessors, this is the kind of perfect country album that you can throw on during a barbecue and still have an amazing time.
