10 Perfect Hip-Hop Albums With No Bad Songs

1. To Pimp A Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar

Most modern rappers don't really worry about the social change aspect of things anymore. Though you do have people coming out of the woodwork to speak out against the injustices of the world, there aren't too many that will find themselves on the charts at the same time. When you have just the right idea though, your music can transcend any type of label that you want to put on it.

After already dominating the rap game on Good Kid Maad City, it looked like Kendrick Lamar could only go down from the classic he already made. Instead of being out of gas though, Kendrick painted his masterpiece on To Pimp A Butterfly, bringing in some of the greatest jazz players of the modern age to provide backup and telling a story about a society that's looking to bring him down at every single turn.

If you thought that the storyline in Good Kid was already a lot to handle, Kendrick even manages to get more personal on the songs on here, with U showing him breaking down in the vocal booth and culminating in one of the most aggro gut punches in modern rap on the song The Blacker the Berry. There may have been a competition as to who was the king of rap in the 2010's, but there's only an elite few who manage to have a record like this in their discography.
