9. Boston - More Than A Feeling
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4QK8RxCAwo From the album: Boston (1976) One of the most fist-pumping, air-guitaring, rip-roaring Rock songs ever written happens to be the first track from Boston's phenomenally successful debut album which has sold over 20 million copies since its release in 1976. From the fade-in intro and Brad Delp's soft and soulful harmony's to the crowd-pleasing chorus and central riff, you can't help but be swept along by the sheer perfection of it all. Make no mistake, "More Than A Feeling" is slick, so slick it's probably the most radio-friendly Rock song ever recorded but that is no bad thing. Boston, particularly founding member and lead guitarist Tom Scholz, always sought absolute perfection and "More Than A Feeling" is proof enough that they had the courage to do exactly that from the very start. Arriving at a sound best described as pop rock, radio-friendly and yet completely accessible to even the most hardened, hard-to-please rock fan, "More Than A Feeling" may be overplayed and overly familiar but in no way has its impact diminished over the years. Basically, this song never fails to put a smile on your face and have you singing along. Which is nice.

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
