10 Popular Artists You Didn't Know Released Music In 2019
8. The All-American Rejects
Having not released an album in seven years since 2012’s Kids In The Street, The All-American Rejects have been trickling singles in the past few years that you’d be forgiven for missing out on. The band are only really touring their home country, and lead singer Tyson Ritter has taken a foray into acting.
The EP Send Her to Heaven released in July and is a much more mature sound from their Dirty Little Secret days. The title track is a love letter to the Pixies, and was co-written with Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo.
Track 2 Gen Why? (DGAF) is the youthful antithesis to their biggest hit Gives You Hell, and final track Demons is a haunting reflection on rock star life.
The band aren’t in a rush to release a full album, so you can understand why they are shying away from mass press coverage, but this EP is worth a listen now many of their contemporaries have all gone in their different sonic directions.
