9. Adele
On a similar note, I always find it hard to listen to 19 or 21 and wonder how much better the songs within would have been written by Amy Winehouse. Adele is a perfectly serviceable artist with a fantastic ear for reinterpreting a song- Feel My Love is exhibit A. However, I find a lot of her output to be reasonably bland. 21 sold at a rate that somebody like Robbie Williams would probably blind his own mother to achieve, but aside from the admittedly magnificent singles, a lot of the record is mediocre at best. Adele has undoubted talent, and her live shows are capable of being stirring affairs with her warm personality, but I personally cant especially get excited about the thought of a third record.
