"Your sex is on fire, Consumed, With what's just transpired"
The speaker of this song suffers from a damaging case of hubris. "Sex Is On Fire" reads like a creepy persuasive essay about how good he is at sex, with a sequence of disjointed sexual images and overblown descriptions of how his sexual partner (allegedly) felt during and after the deed. It's like a group of kids got together after hearing some steamy porno dialogue and jammed all of the most intense, sexually-charged words they could think of into one refrain. "Like you're dying"? "Consumed?" Really? Overcompensate more. Still, given the popularity of the song upon its release, it stands as a testament to the old adage: sex sells.
