This might be one of the easiest listens you can find in the realm of psychedelic rock. It's not a genre that usually lends itself to the mellow background ambience of a smokey coffee bar- these guys have put a unique twist on the genre. Their debut album fused the effortlessly cool sensibilities of lounge room jazz, with an East Asian take on rock guitar. The results speak for themselves.
The overriding sound is Mark Speer's guitar work. His playing is such an engaging and ever changing exploration of the fretboard, that you never get bored waiting to hear where the sound is going next. With that said, it's just as satisfying tuning into the rhythm section. Both the drums and the bass sit comfortably in the pocket, it's clear they know how to hit the groove.
