10 Rock Bands Without Any Original Members Left

6. GWAR

In reality, GWAR's lineup could have stayed the same since its inception in 1985, just with the original members changing up masks and stage names without telling anyone.

However, in the spirit of trust, it's best to assume that they are telling the truth and have rotated their roster several times in the many decades since their formation.

GWAR's whole gimmick is that each member is part of a tribe of alien warriors who just so happen to enjoy making heavy metal music on the side. This has led to some cracking names being present on the call sheet over the years; take the original line-up of the band, for example.

Johnny Slutman; Mr. Magico; Oderous Urungus; Balsac; Jaws of Death; and, finally, Hans Sphincter. Everyone else can go home now, because GWAR absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.

Over the years, these wonderful weirdos all went their separate ways, leaving only Urungus (real name Dave Brockie) left standing. Sadly, in 2014, Brockie passed away, leaving GWAR with zero original members, but countless memories of some of the most absurd moments in all of music history.
