10 Rock Supergroups You Had No Idea Existed

1. SuperHeavy

Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones? Singer-songwriter Joss Stone? Dave Stewart from Eurythmics? Damian Marley, son of Bob? Slumdog Millionaire composer A. R. Rahman?

No, you haven't just woken up from a cheese dream - this was a real band that made real music and released a real album in the real year of 2011.

SuperHeavy came about as a result of Stewart listening to the sounds of nature near his home in Jamaica. He spoke to Jagger and convinced him to join this mad crusade, which would infuse reggae music with traditional rock and Indian sounds.

The band's existence was kept secret for two years before the release of its debut single Miracle Worker in 2011, followed by an album that same year. To add to the madness, most of that album was recorded on a yacht owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

The weirdest part of all of this? The music isn't bad! It's not game-changing or anything, but Miracle Worker is a nice little song!

Oh, this was the only album they ever recorded? Well what was the point of all that then?
