1. Being Responsible For The Worst Band Ever
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6Wb1YMTsdw Of all the outrageous things Korn have done throughout their career, the one that still retains the most jaw-dropping shock-value to this day is their culpability in Limp Bizkits career. When Korn were on an early tour, they played a gig in Fred Dursts hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Durst wangled his way into Korns inner circle, and pressed a demo into bassist Fieldys hands. Off the back of this, Korn asked Limp Bizkit to support them on two tours, unwittingly unleashing one of the most awful musical hellbeasts the world has ever seen. Lets survey the evidence: their truly awful lyrics (Exhibit A: the vomit-inducing rap on the 9/11 tribute single); Dursts repeated and most probably false claims that he had sex with Britney Spears; their attempt at being music moguls which gave the world the atrocious Staind and the singularly awful Puddle Of Mudd; and their refusal to ask the crowd to calm down at Woodstock 99 (like they had been asked to) which made an already terrible situation much worse. Their only redeeming feature is guitarist Wes Borlands continuing attempts to undermine their macho bro-culture image with his bizarre onstage costumes, possibly because deep down, he hates them as much as everyone else does. That Korn were involved in such an unholy abomination as Limp Bizkit truly is a stain on their whole career.
