10 Singers Who HATE Their Own Songs

9. Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.

One of many pop songs that defined the so-called "tween years" (2009-2012), Party in the U.S.A. is, like many pop songs of that era, wildly popular but disliked by a vocal group of people. Miley Cyrus herself, as it turns out, isn't a huge fan either.

Originally written by Jessie J, who decided not to record it for being too cheery, the song ultimately went to Cyrus, and it became a massive success.

In November 2009, though, Cyrus stated that Party in the U.S.A. "wasn't even [her] style of music," and that she didn't listen to pop music at all.

To Cyrus, the track was...well, just a track. She only recorded it because she needed something to complete her debut EP, The Time of Our Lives, as well as something to go along with her clothing line.

Cyrus has said that the song didn't represent where she wanted to go musically, and has refused to play it live on many occasions as well as request DJs not to play it.
