10 Songs That Have More Than One Music Video

3. Times Like These - Foo Fighters

One word comes to mind when watching the original video for Foo Fighters' Time Like These and that word is "basic".

The band are playing the song up against a greenscreen, which has a load of psychedelic patterns projected onto it. At the end of the song, the effects disappear, and Dave Grohl just sings into the camera.

Basically all the production quality of your standard YouTube video these days.

That might be why the band opted to try again with the video shortly thereafter, and they got it so much more right the second go around.

It was directed by Marc Klasfield, who had previously worked with Jay-Z, Sum 41, and the poets of our time that are Insane Clown Posse.

In this rendition of the tune, the Foos are playing underneath a bridge when people start dropping things off it.

TVs, computers, skateboards, even a couple of frickin' cars end up going over. Thank God the band weren't playing about ten feet further back...

The second version of the video was a significant upgrade and was immediately replaced the old one on every major music channel.

Poor first video, you tried... actually, no you didn't.
