10 Terrible Albums By Legendary Music Bands

3. Two Virgins - John Lennon and Yoko Ono

It's not necessarily fair to pin all of the Beatles fallout on Yoko Ono. Even though her relationship with John Lennon was a little bit strange in the mid '60s, John was already looking to move on from what the Fab Four had to offer, immersing himself in the avant garde scene and trying to push beyond just traditional rock and roll. And now that he was dating a true avant garde artist, Two Virgins was the first time John delved into pure mayhem.

Recorded on one of their first dates, the music on here is basically an hour's worth of some of the most abrasive noise you will ever hear, from John noodling around on guitar every now and again to making different shrieking noises and banging on pots and pans to create a vibe of chaos. While you can call this album at least forward thinking in terms of noise music a few years later, it makes sense why this album was poorly received, especially with John and Yoko deciding to pose nude on the original album cover.

That's just the tip of the iceberg to this side of Lennon's work though, with two other albums like Life with the Lions and The Wedding Album getting even more experimental and harsher to listen to as his solo years went on. These albums definitely have a certain weird factor that keeps people interested, but there's definitely a solid shift going from a song like Come Together to this in just a few months.
