Apparently, the idea behind the Halcyon album is days of youth and happiness and joy; Goulding liked the idea that there can be days that are really happy and really peaceful. And yet in the video for Anything Could Happen there is a car crash and nosebleeds, which was questioned in an interview with interviewmagazine. Goulding said: "For that very reason - the song is so happy and so hopeful, I guess I wanted to emphasize that also 'anything could happen' in a bad way. Someone close to you could get ill, or, anything really. I guess I wanted to have a serious point to the song as well. It's supposed to be surreal - I enjoyed making the video a lot, it was good fun, and I was really pleased with how it ended up".
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
