After he'd sufficiently established himself in the music industry, West began to explore other avenues of world domination and, after what must have been literally minutes of deliberation, he had his restaurant company (yeah, he owns one of those) sign a deal to open 10 chains in a burger franchise. Fatburger, or "the last great hamburger stand" as they so proudly purport, is an American chain of quasi-fast food restaurants with over 150 restaurants - some even carrying a full liquor license. After some haggling, and a something a financial hitch, West's proposed creation of 10 dropped to just 2, and in 2008 his first Fatburger opened its doors. But by 2011 it had been forced to close citing financial instabilities. The rumours that West wanted the menu items changed to reflect his music ("Touch The Fries" and "Heard 'em Shakes", being two of the sides available at the outlets he owned) remain thoroughly unsubstantiated. Incidentally Pharell Williams set up a series of Fatburger's in China not long after Yeezy's abortive attempt. They're doing wonderfully by all accounts.
