10 Things You Didn't Know About Kanye West

3. His Stylist Is Just Some College Kid He Met In A Department Store

Despite seeing himself as something of a visionary in the world of fashion, Kanye's personal stylist isn't some brand mogul or legendary designer, it's actually just some college student he met in Barneys one day. Casually browsing the isles for his own new apparel, Kanye stops dead in his tracks at the sight of an impeccably dressed young man named Cassius Clay. He goes over to tell him he really, really digs his shoes, the two get talking, exchange advice, swap numbers, and then go their separate ways. The next day West buys a controlling share in the company that made Clay's shoes and asks him to come and give them some ideas for new lines. Soon after he's travelling the world as his personal style advisor, attending parties, and dressing one of the most famous men on the entire planet. Clay wasn't just any random college student though, he was the heir to an impossible large dynasty and one of the most promising students in Yale. Sadly now that Kanye has married into a family that includes Kourtney and Khloe, he's probably getting ropey advice on his clothes for free.
