Trainor moved to Nashville in order to further her music career. She said: "I just knew I had to get closer, because I was so tired of traveling from the island. I was 19 and my parents didn't want to move me to LA at 19 because that's terrifying and expensive, but with the publishing money I got I could afford Nashville, so we came here" And thank goodness, because she might not have been spotted if she'd stayed in Cape Cod.
