In terms of lineage, there may not be a guy further off Kanye's current path than former Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Unless Kanye has an extensive turtleneck collection we don't know about, there's almost a zero percent chance of him becoming the next Jobs. And not for nothing, but why would you position yourself as the next Steve Jobs when you make your money slinging rhymes and producing beats? And why would you then cite the death of a rapper for freeing up more space at the table for another rapper? That's... it's only further diluting your point, Mr. West. In order for your analogy to work, you'd have to swap out Biggie Smalls with the creator of the Atari 2600. Also, if anyone's coming up on the heels of Jobs, it's the other guy in that quote. Jay-Z has at least launched a streaming music service, which allows him the generously be lumped into a very small portion of the pie chart that's also occupied by Apple.
