10 Times Rock Bands Trolled You

1. Green Day - Father Of All…

The debate rages on. Are Green Day really trolling us on Father of All Motherf***ers?

Billie Joe Armstrong sounds like a millenial pop star. The album's length short as heck at around 26 minutes (which could imply this is an album to get out of a record contract). And worst of all it sounds like it belongs on Green Day's Trilogy.

Could this be another reinvention for the band like American Idiot’s appeal to a new generation? Or are the band just pulling our leg here?

They’ve picked an album title that radio presenters can’t say, they’re sounding completely unlike any of their previous works, and they even addressed these trolling rumours in their second single.

The YouTube description for Fire, Ready, Aim states “How many trolls does it take to screw in a lightbulb? The answer is Fire Ready Aim! A new tune for the loons! This song is about our daily outrage.”

Well, trolling is a surefire way to release outrage.

The band further tell us to put a sock in it in regards to any hate with “Stick a hammer in your mouth. Shut up and dance!”.

Flipping us off in music videos, cringe-inducing descriptions, and censoring of faces like anonymous internet trolls. We're still none the wiser if Green Day are pulling our leg.
