There are more than enough religious fanatics that are convinced that rock and rollers are trying to sell your soul to the devil with every song they sing. Once backmasking became a thing though, this was the ticket that the nutcases needed to go absolutely crazy with it, with everyone from Led Zeppelin to The Beatles being accused of some heinous behavior that they admitted to. Although he could have easily just thrown together a bunch of meaningless pieces of words together, the backwards message amounts to him saying "you must have a lot of free time on your hands."
