11 Phenomenal Underground Artists That Deserve Your Attention

10. The SSS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTe0jZtT1qs "I'm searching high, I'm searching low / but I don't know what it is that I need" are lyrics from 'Who Dares Wins' ... but I'm telling you I've done the searching, and I know exactly what it is you need: Sheffield based band The SSS. They've played alongside the likes of The Twang and Danny Mahon but should really be gracing bigger stages and more tightly packed venues given how talented they are. Catchy 'Me Myself and I' draws the listener in with a perfectly combined riff and drum beat, and Josh's vocals are laced with a comforting Northern twang €“ better heard in their acoustic 'Ticking Clock', also available on their SoundCloud account. And that's not all; the five lads certainly look the part, too. Frontman Josh's cheekbones are impressive to say the least and their band photography illustrates a clearly defined image and passion to their craft. If you're in Manchester on the 26th April they'll be playing alongside the Darlingtons & Moscow. The SSS are definitely ones to watch!

Hi I'm Beth, a 17 year old girl from the UK who is most often found sat in front of my computer in my room making no noise and pretending I don't exist*. I like coffee (black, two sugars), old books and I'm currently studying the art of procrastination. On a more serious note, I'm currently studying for my A Levels, taking English Literature, English Language, History and Economics. I intend to study either English or Journalism at university. *that's a Harry Potter reference. If you didn't get that, then shame on you.
