http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unfzfe8f9NI In their hey day, ABBA was hot. Their fan base was rabid and fanatical. Sadly, the 21st century is not ABBAs hey day. Aside from dedicated and loyal fans, most people these days regard ABBA as Ace of Bases grandparents from the olden days. Even the musical Mamma Mia was conceived on the jokey premise of a film based entirely off of ABBAs music. But lets face facts guys. ABBA knew how to write some great songs and Mamma Mia may be their best. The marimba has never elicited more genuine smiles than it does in the opening strains of Mamma Mia, and by the time those guitars kick in, you know youre fully committed. By the end of the song youve sung almost every lyric with a reckless abandon that you were unaware you possessed...just as if you were in a musical comprised of ABBA songs.
