12 Great Things In Metal This Week (18th Dec)

1. Korn And Limp Bizkit Tour The UK

Surprise, surprise: a tour. This time, though, this one is happening right now. For real.

The '90s were revived in blistering form this week as nu metal icons Korn and Limp Bizkit closed out 2016 with a small but arena-level, co-headlining jaunt across the UK, bringing hardcore rockers Madball with them.

And while nu metal has never really been my thing, seeing its two biggest bands share a stage was doubtlessly a nostalgia meltdown that reminded me of the good ol' days of MTV (when there was, y'know, music on it) and cassette tapes.

Each show made for a night crammed with '90s rock radio hits, from Limp Bizkit's "Rollin'" through to the song that ended each show, Korn's "Falling Away from Me".

"Welcome to your childhood!" the bands symbolically bellow. And you know what, it's just as good as you remember!
