The vitriol of the song is illustrated perfectly by an earlier comment made by Grohl, where he stated that an original intended motif for the song's music video would be a bloated, distorted body that would resemble Love. This idea was replaced by the spore-like forms that float around the band, but the intentions were already clear. Other particularly bitter jabs at the singer include lines such as "I'm the only one who sees your rehearsed insanity" and "I don't owe you anything."
