And now for some easy listening to round off this edition of me telling you whats what musically. The easy listening in question comes from a four piece by the name of
The Boy Will Drown that are coming straight outta Norwich. Given that the four lads bonded on a mutual love for bands like
Hate Eternal,
Napalm Death,
The Dillinger Escape Plan,
Converge and
Decapitated to name a few, you just know this is going to be really calming, lullaby sort of stuff. This a very modern sort of death metal though, and one that isnt afraid to go outside the sometimes death metal template; incorporating the fretboard pyrotechnics of mathcore, a hardcore bark, grindcores pulverising blastbeats, curveball moments of melodic death metal, deathcores groove and some obscene breakdowns.
