synth pop/electronica/indie http://youtu.be/BEfqcwGNFdE Electronica peddling producer William Doyle started out as your typical guitar-driven indie type with his former band Doyle & The Fourfathers, until that sort of fell by the wayside as Doyle felt he could no longer express himself as he'd like through traditional guitar-centric rock music and moved into the realms of synths, sequencers, drum machines, and music production as songwriting. Having just released his debut album under the nom de plume East India Youth, 2014 is set to be a big year for Doyle as his solo stylings bring together synth heavy pop and synth heavy atmospheric instrumentals. A combination that results in the album transitioning from James Blake one-man-and-his-studio singer songwriting and Brian Eno influenced songscapes that sprawl through sparkly synth passages. In equal measures catchy and danceable as sprawling and enthralling, making for a sound that's as fitted for the club as it is for the comedown.
