13 Worst Cover Songs Of All Time

12. Limp Bizkit - Faith

Fred Durst has earned himself a bit of a reputation for butchering music, and not just his own.

This list could potentially have been made up exclusively of terrible Limp Bizkit covers. Their versions of The Who’s ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ and Prince’s ‘1999’ are just as bad as their awful rendition of George Michael’s ‘Faith’.

But it was ‘Faith’ that was one of the first songs that garnered the Nu Metal band some attention. Recorded prior to the release of early Limp Bizkit hits such as ‘Nookie’ and ‘Break Stuff’, the George Michael cover divided people at the time and has only gotten worse with age.

The Nu Metal vibe might have appealed to youths at the time who were looking for songs that would rebel against their parent’s taste in music, and this brutal murder of George Michael’s hit would have done just that.
