3. Independent Women - Destiny's Child
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lPQZni7I18 Before Beyonce became one of the most successful solo artists in the 2000s and 2010s, she was one of three R&B singers that made up the group Destiny's Child. Destiny's Child released the anthem "Independent Women (Part 1)" in 2000, and it became an instant hit, reaching #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and spending ten weeks in that spot. Destiny's Child would continue to crank out huge hits until the group dissolved in 2005. Beyonce went on to be a pop superstar, Kelly Rowland continued to have success in R&B, and Michelle Williams owns a WNBA team. In 2013, the group got together for the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show headlined by Beyonce, where they performed a couple of their old hit songs. How many of you knew that the songs they performed were over 10 years old at that time?
