8. The Vengeful One

This is the biggest hit song off their newest album, 'Immortalized', and it's a prime example of Disturbed not having to change their style while still drawing in listeners. The song features heavy drum use and a chug-heavy opening, which is complimented by powerful lyrics with religious and powerful overtones.

This combination highlights how Disturbed's lyrical and musical creativity, despite the theme of the song following a pre-established trend of Disturbed using their music to criticize an aspect of modern life. In this case, Disturbed, through Draiman's lyrics and the accompanying music video, criticize how modern media brainwashes people into following a specific agenda, which does more to pull people apart than it does to unite them. This plays to Disturbed's group theme perfectly, as they're all about unity and bringing their brothers and sisters together.

With or without the music video, 'The Vengeful One' is easily one of the best songs on all of 'Immortalized'. It's a powerful song with insane lyrics, an interesting political message, and all the awesome dark themes that made Disturbed famous in the first place.

Best Lyrics:

"The rabid media plays their role,
stoking the flames of war to no surprise.
Only to eager to sell their souls,
For the Apocalypse must be televised."
