2. Listening To The Original House Of The Rising Sun And Wondering Where The Arpeggio Comes In
Muse's version of Nina Simone's seminal hit Feeling Good is probably one of the band's most instantly recognisable tracks, and their take on Can't Take My Eyes Off You is pretty much just the original with better guitar parts, but House of The Rising Sun remains their best cover ever. Starting with some throttling guitar work before bringing in the Bliss-esque synth work and never letting go. The Animal's original is, of course, brilliant, but after hearing the Muse version it just doesn't ever quite sound right.
