12. Having A Working Knowledge Of The Laws Of Thermodynamics Just Because
Given the time delays between Muse announcing their album titles, and the things actually getting released, Muse fans usually have to content themselves with a bit of background research in between. The band's last album, The 2nd Law, drew its name from the 2nd law of thermodynamics - which dictates "a process in which a state changes, with increases in entropy due to dissipation of energy and to dispersal of matter and energy". Simple enough. No other fan base in the world would bother, but Musers brushed up on the subject anyway. After all Michio Kaku's Hyperspace (which influenced the title and themes of Origin of Symmetry) was an... um... interesting read.
